Welcome to my site and I would love to help you find your new furry family member but I do have my way of doing things. I'm easy to work with but I take this very seriously and I am very protective of my babies.

!! Puppies are sold as pets at pet prices. I do not guarantee breeding ability or show quality. I do not breed for a show, we sell our puppies as pets only !! 

 

**Transportation:

Reliable transportation for puppies around U.S. is available - $450 East of Denver and $650 West of Denver.

Includes comfort-plus in cabin travel, pics/videos of the adventure, comfortable soft sided carrier with ice and personal fan, constant communication , offers of food and water , use of pet- relief area and playpen for layovers. We do NOT ship our puppies abroad at this time.

**Visiting, updates, pictures:

 

I raise my puppies in my nursery, they are handled and loved every day. My nursery is off limits to visitors, no matter who they are. I do not allow my puppies to be shown or handled prior to 8 wks of age. I make NO exceptions.

 

I can send you pictures and videos and you can put a deposit to reserve the puppy of your choice but they cannot be picked up before 8 wks of age. I do accept Paypal for deposits. Once a deposit is accepted and I place that baby on reserve for you, the deposit is non-refundable  except in the unfortunate case of something unforeseen happens to the baby or that its not fit for sale. Once I place the baby of your choice on hold for you, I do not offer that baby to anyone else and  it is held for you any only you, that is the purpose of the deposit. It is your guarantee that the baby will be yours to take home.

I am extremely strict with my puppies to make sure they arent exposed to any viruses or anything and I can offer you a healthy puppy. 

Also I do provide pictures of the parents but I will no longer give "tours" or allow anyone around my adult dogs. These are also my babies to protect and keep safe. After years of trying to accomodate everyone, I now have my rules and I will not bend or break them.

**Deposits, payments, & reserving:  

   CASH ONLY AT TIME OF PICK UP PLEASE!

I ACCEPT CASH AND CREDIT/DEBIT CARDS THROUGH PAYPAL, ZELLE &VENMO, ALSO I ACCEPT MONEY ORDERS FOR DEPOSITS ONLY!

• ANY deposit placed on a puppy is not refundable for ANY reason. Your non-refundable deposit is paid through a PayPal invoice, Venmo or Zelle and the remaining balance  is due in  cash upon pick up. 
   

• A $200 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve  a puppy for you until their "ready date" or to get onto our waitlist. The deposits go towards the total price of the puppy.  The deposit is  paid through a PayPal invoice, which you can pay with any debit/credit card.

• If we are discussing a reservation, your chosen puppy will be put ON HOLD for 24 hours. If you do not pay your deposit within 24 hours your puppy will be made available again. Puppies get reserved quickly, so please make sure to pay your deposit ASAP or the puppy becomes available again in 24 hours!
   

• Once your deposit has been paid, your chosen puppy will be placed on hold for you, and their status will say reserved for "insert your name".

**Picking up:
 

• The remaining balance is  due upon pick up. Cash ONLY at time of pick up. We do NOT accept credit/debit at pick up. We also do NOT accept checks of any kind for payment.

 

• Once your puppy is 8-10 weeks old I will call you and email you to set up a pick up date. MOST puppies are ready by 8 weeks old. Some may need more time. I generally keep puppies here until at least 10 weeks old. The extra time gives them more socialization with their littermates and helps them learn more dog appropriate manners. If you need us to hold your puppy for any longer than 2 weeks after their agreed upon pick up date, there will be an extra charge of $10 per night for boarding. This is because puppies are a TON of work and if we have to hold onto them longer than we planned, we are putting a ton of extra time, training, and cost into them. So please let us know ahead of time if you will need us to hold onto your pup longer.

 

• When you come to pick up your new puppy, a pick up  appointment must be scheduled for A SET TIME. Your appointment will be scheduled for one hour. If you are going to be late, please TEXT us. If you are going to be more than 30 minutes late, we might need to reschedule your appointment!

 

• We will go over any  and all questions you  have during your pick up appointment. Of coarse feel free to ask us as many questions as you want before you pick up your puppy too! We offer lifetime breeder support, and are always available to answer questions!

This Pekingese Puppy will become the property of the Buyer
upon fulfillment of the following contract.

 

This puppy will be provided with fresh food, water, shelter and consistent wellness check ups , vaccinations, and heartworm prevention. _________

 

Buyer agrees to continue with puppy shots. Pups must be vaccinated at 8 weeks, 12 weeks and 16 weeks. Pup is NOT fully protected until their last set of vaccines! ALL GUARANTEES ARE VOID IF VACCINES SCHEDULE ISN’T FOLLOWED! _________

 

The Breeder will AT ANY TIME take this puppy back if asked to do so by the Buyer. But NO REFUNDS will be given if you relinquish your puppy to us. If you re-home your puppy to another home,you must notify us and give us first right of refusal.________

 If puppy is being sold with LIMITED AKC registration then he/she is to be a pet only, 

and WILL NOT be used for breeding purposes UNLESS AN ADDITIONAL BREEDING CONTRACT IS SIGNED. If used for breeding purposes without signing the breeding contract, Breeder will receive first right of refusal of any offspring produced and has the right to confiscate any puppies previously sold to Buyer. Breeding your puppy also VOIDS

Health Guarantees. 

​

BUYER PROTECTION GUARANTEE/ PARASITES/FLEAS/VACCINATIONS: 

 

Your puppy has been giving his/her initial puppy vaccinations. Protocol for vaccines is 6, 9, 12 and 16 wks to provide the protection they need that will help build their immunity for life. The next vaccination is due on this date:

 Hypoglycemia - toy breeds are prone to hypoglycemia and must have their food available 24/7 until they are at least 6 months old, if not longer. Having Nutrical on hand is a good idea for any toy breed owner, it can come in handy even for just routine vaccination days. ________

   I understand this puppy has been fed very high quality food (Royal Canin) and needs to continue to be fed the same food or one with equal quality to provide the best nutritional health. If you do not take our advice and continue the puppy on the same diet, you can expect stomach upset or refusal to eat,which is in your control. _______

     This puppy has never been outside  or exposed to strangers , and has not been around any other people until at least 8 wks of age to limit exposure to germs and illnesses. The puppy needs to be kept protected from other animals (if unsure of health or vaccination history) and not taken to public parks, pet stores, and not put  on the ground outside of vets offices, until the entire series of puppy vaccinations are given._______

    Fleas - I have been advised that it is not recommended to use any of the flea shampoos with permethrin as this is a poison  and can cause vomiting, seizures and death. You can wash your puppy with Dawn dishwashing liquid to kill the fleas, or use a more natural flea shampoo with citrus rather than chemicals. Use a product from your vet such as Advantage, or Frontline, or Comfortis, if fleas are an issue.________

 

Note from Viktoriya - this puppy is in excellent health to the best of my knowledge and I encouarge you to have him/her examined by your veterinarian to your satisfaction. If the puppy is not fit for sale, he/she must be returned  immediately along  with the veterinarians letter of explanation. We do not pay any vet bills incurred by you. If you chose any treatments or tests, you will not be reimbursed. There is no warranty implied other than on the written warranty provided. Puppy/dog issues that are not life threatening are easily treated and are not covered under our warranty including worms, mites, coccidia hypoglycemia, umbilical hernias, demodex, cherry eye, stenotic nares, alopecia, or temperament. __________

 

CONGENITAL DEFECTS:

This puppy is guaranteed to be free of congenital defects for the period of 3 years (up until the dog turns 3 years old). Health problems are to be deemed “genetic” by a veterinarian and can not be related to lack of veterinary care, improper diet/nutrition, inadequate housing or environment, abuse, or accidents. 

Should any genetic diseases be diagnosed, that jeopardizes quality of life of this puppy, Breeder will offer a replacement puppy of equal value at no cost when one becomes available, or the breeder will offer to refund HALF of the purchase price of the puppy. Previous puppy sold does NOT need to be returned to receive a replacement puppy or HALF refund. ALL VET RECORDS MUST BE PROVIDED TO BREEDER. If this puppy dies from a congenital  disease/defect, a necropsy report must be provided to breeder to receive a replacement/ HALF refund to prove that the puppy passed from a congenital disease/defect. ____________

 

DEATH CLAUSE:

 

If puppy DIES within the 72 hour period or at any point throughout its life with an “unknown” cause of death buyer MUST get necropsy done to provide proof of death was “breeder’s fault”  to receive any kind of compensation. HALF

LIABILITY WAIVER

The Breeder at no time is responsible for any/ all possible zoonotic diseases that you, the Buyer, can acquire from your new puppy. ___________

 

Breeder is not responsible for your puppy, any other animal in your home, or any other animals your  puppy has been exposed to, becoming ill if you do not follow the vaccination protocalls. _________

*Many of these diseases do not affect a healthy human adult or adult dog but for those with immune -compromised systems, including but not limited to: children under 5, pregnant woman, the elderly,  those on immune -suppressant drugs, or people with viral infections, and of course puppies/ dogs that haven't been fully vaccinated*

The Buyer agrees to release the  Breeder  from any and all liability associated with all possible zoonotic illnesses/infections and / or injuries that can be caused by your pup.

GOLDEN DRAGON PEKINGESE KENNEL -  1 YEAR LIMITED HEALTH WARRANTY

​

1 year Limited Warranty on life threatening congenital defects with confirmed diagnosis by proper testing  and written confirmation and explanation by a licensed veterinarian.
This puppy is in a good health to the best of our knowledge, and this warranty gives you 48 hours to have the puppy checked by your veterinarian, at your expense, to assure he is fit for purchase. Your puppy is up to date on wormings and vaccinations at the time of purchase. Some things such as change in weather and environment can affect puppies just like humans and some may experience a puppy, they are just like babies. 
Pekingese usually weigh 8-10 lbs but can be more or less, there is no guaranteeing their adult size, I willgive you my best educated guess. Thats the best any breeder can do. Any pekingese under 6lbs is called sleeve Pekingese. Pet quality Peks can weigh more as they are heavy little dogs, this breed is not considered to be "teacups".
Breed related issues, that are not covered by warranty: Pekingese tend to catch colds very easily, they are Brachyceplahlic which means they have flat faces with short muzzles, and must be kept from overheating. Have difficult births. Prone to herniated disks and disclocated kneecaps. Tichaiasis (lashes growing inwards). Breathing problems and heart problems are also common. Some can have abnormally small nostrills also known as stenotic nares, in severe cases it can be corrected with surgery. Wrinkle dermatitis - the fold of skin overlying the nose can be a source of problem if it is allowed to stay moist, owners must be diligent to keep this area clean and dry. Ear concerns: Pekes tend to have fairly prominent eyes, which renders the eye surface to dry so much that vision is lost, in others the hair growing from the fold of skin over the nose touches the eye causing irritation and possible infection.
You have 48 hours in which to have your puppy examined by your veterinarian, at your expense to ensure he is health yand fit for sale. Not having your puppy examined in this frame will void any warranty. If your vet finds any life threatening problem the puppy must be returned immediately with a letter confirming the diagnosis, if the puppy passes away you must have a necropsy to verify the cause of death as a condition covered by this warranty. All paperwork must also be returned. A puppy of equal value will be given as replacement or if one is not available, you will be refunded only the price of the puppy. No vet bills will be paid, No shipping cost will be returned. Common puppy issues are not considered life threatening  and not cause to be returned. Including worms, coccidiosis, parasites, cherry eye, mites, or hernias, and with the flat face it is very common for Pekes to get a "Cold"  when they change environments, so this is not covered  as a mild puppy antibiotic will clear it up quickly. All of these things can come along with adoption a new puppy and your responsible for vet cost and care. Vaccinations are current at the time you purchase the puppy and its your obligation to finish their puppy series. If for some reason you can not keep the puppy, you can return the puppy to me to be rehomed, NO refund will be given. NO other warranty is expressed or implied. My puppies are not on loan, and we are not responsible for landlord disapproval, familyes allergies, and any sign of neglect will void this warranty. Pet quality only, not sold for breeding or show.
